i-Ready Celebrations in First Grade

Mrs. Howard, Mrs. Kilgore, and Ms. Kathleen’s first grade classes celebrated the success of their students’ progress on the i-Ready reading and math comprehensive assessments at the end of November with a good ol’ fashioned turkey trot! Every student who scored as Proficient and Advanced or increased their score from the previous test was able to participate. The children had a blast racing against each other and running around like wobbly turkeys. One student out of each class even won a prize bag! They might have been turkeys, but you could say they had a hoot!
