The Poplarville Hornets Alumni Foundation presented two awards at the March 9th school board meeting. The first award in the amount of $500 was presented to the PHS Cheer Team who came in first at the National High School Cheerleader Competition. A second award in the amount of $500 was presented to Mrs. Lisa Benson who was selected PHS Teacher of the Year and received the honor of being named District Teacher of the Year.
