Special Guest at PLE

Poplarville Lower Elementary had a real princess on campus!
Kat Adcox, Miss University of Southern Mississippi 2022, was at PLE to share her platform with students. Her platform is Crushing Labels, The Mosaic Initiative. With her platform, Kat gets to teach our youth that you can be who and what you want no matter what label society may place on you! Beauty and strength come from embracing your unique self! It takes all kinds of kinds!

The Miss America organization helps its contestants grow into a better version of themselves and allows each contestant to pick a platform to advocate for during their year of service! PLE believes that Kat’s message is perfect for our students and was so proud to have her share it with them!
Students loved seeing Kat in her Miss America Organization crown. Kat enjoys getting to wear the crown because it tells what the organization stands for! The crown has 4 points and each point stands for one of the four Miss America traits! Service, Style, Scholarship and Success.
Kat will go on to compete at Miss Mississippi in June! PLE will be rooting for her! Go, Kat!!!
