Quest Tracks Hurricanes

The 4th Grade Quest students have been practicing their skills at reading latitude and longitude by tracking tropical storms and hurricanes in real time. Several years ago, a large tracking map was painted on the walls of the PUE Cafeteria. This hurricane season has been especially busy as our students used it to track the coordinates of Harvey, Irma, Jose, Katia, Lee, Maria, and Nate. September 2017 was the most active month on record for Atlantic Hurricanes. The season doesn’t officially end until November 30 so stay tuned for more possible developments!
