The Poplarville High School CTE Center is celebrating Career and Technical Education the month of February!
The staff hosted 9th grade tours during break featuring each of the pathways available at the CTE Center, and students were introduced to the opportunities available to them. Each pathway had a presentation with current students and the instructor on hand. Refreshments were prepared and provided by the culinary arts class.
“We are excited to give students the opportunity to see what our center has to offer before scheduling for the next school year begins,” said Keri Smith, CTE Director.
Each of the programs are designed to promote hands-on learning and critical thinking skills. There are a variety of courses offered for students, including culinary arts, digital media, health science, marketing, teacher academy, and agricultural science.
The Career Development Center at Poplarville High School is dedicated to promoting learning and developing skills that students will use in college and their careers.
