PHS Ladies’ Track Qualify for State Championship

The Poplarville High School Ladies Track Team traveled to McComb, MS on Saturday, April 29th to compete in the Class 4A South State Track Meet.

The Relay Team (Mallory Smith, Mollie Brown, Evelyn Kimball, Angela Angulo) placed 2nd in the 4×800 Meter Relay with a time of 11:10.

Janelle Johnson placed 2nd in the 1600 Meter Run and 3rd in the 3200 Meter Run.

Zanaisha Turner placed 2nd in Triple Jump.

Monica Raine placed 2nd in Shot Put.

All of the participants qualified for state.  They will compete at the MHSAA 4A Track and Field State Championship this Saturday, May 6th at Pearl High School.
