Lady Hornets District Champs

 
On Wednesday, April 20, the PHS Lady Hornet Fastpitch Softball Team captured the 2016 Division 7-4A Title with a thrilling 7-6 win in the bottom of the 7th over Sumrall.  This Division Championship is the 6th in the last 7 years and this year’s playoff appearance will mark the 9th straight for PHS.  The Lady Hornets, led by 8 seniors, finished the regular season with a record of 15-3 and are currently ranked #1 in 4A according to High Sports in Mississippi.  The Lady Hornets will begin the 1st round of the MHSAA State Playoffs on the road Tuesday and at Home Thursday.  Game times and opponents have yet to be determined.
