Counselor Blog for Scholarship Opportunities

PHS Scholarship applications are in the guidance office, the career center and in the CDC! The counselor blog has more details for all scholarships that are currently available. Below is a list of upcoming scholarship deadlines with links to the blog for details. The blog can also be accessed through the school website by clicking on the guidance link.

PHS will host a FAFSA Day on March 2nd. Counselors from the Get2College Center in Ocean Springs will be here to assist parents and students in completing the application for federal aid and for state aid. Through completion of the FAFSA, students will find out if they qualify to receive any Pell Grant money. Additionally, completion of the FAFSA is required by most colleges before a student can receive institutional aid. Mrs. Tammy Ladner is the contact person to sign up for an appointment. Parents should contact her to sign up for a time. Appointments will be available between 8:30 and 3:30. The Get2College Center is a non for profit organization that assists Mississippi families in planning and paying for college. All of their services are free. The center in Ocean Springs offers individual appointments, ACT prep and more.
