The flight crew of Rescue 7 consisting of Pilot Evan Cornelius, Flight RN/Paramedic Mitchell Bass, and Flight Paramedic Hunter Townsend visited Health Sciences students from the Career Development Center to talk about a career in Emergency Medical Air Ambulance Service. Rescue 7 is the oldest existing air ambulance service in the United States. Mr. Bass and Mr. Townsend were able to provide some real world insight by talking about the many varied experiences they have had as a flight nurse and a flight paramedic and by allowing the students to take a tour of the helicopter. A special thanks to Mr. Bass, Mr. Townsend, and Mr. Cornelius for taking time out of their busy day to come talk to the Health Sciences class. We would also like to thank Deena Brannum, RN, Director of Nursing at Pearl River County Hospital, for coordinating the visit.
