Makayla Tynes was voted 2023-2024 Staff of the Year for Poplarville Lower Elementary. Mrs. Makayla is currently the Bookkeeper at PLE and has been with the school district for five years. She is a graduate of Poplarville High School and a lifelong resident of Poplarville. She obtained an associate’s degree in business and marketing and worked at Hancock Bank for three years before coming to PLE. She and her husband, Dylan, live in Poplarville, MS along with their 2 beautiful children, Kastyn and Waylon.
Since Makayla has been at PLE, Mrs. Makayla has served as an integral part of the office staff, assisting with any task that is presented. She is energetic and hard-working and helps the administrative team, teachers, students, and parents in any way possible. PLE is grateful to have her!
