Athletic Update Sept. 13-18/2021

 Homecoming

This week is homecoming week! Themes include: Merica Monday, Twin Tuesday, Way Back Wednesday, Thursday is frats vs. farmers, and Friday is color wars! (9th grade – white, 10th grade – gold, 11th grade – green, and 12th grade – black.) Thursday will feature the Homecoming Parade. Lineup starts at 6:45 at PHS and begins rolling at 7pm. The parade route will end at the town green with a community pep rally starting at 7pm. The homecoming queen will be announced before the start of the football game on Friday.

PHS Football

On Friday, September 10th, the Poplarville Hornet football team traveled to compete against the Lumberton Panthers. The Hornets dominated the board with a final score of 23-0. This week, the Poplarville Football team will be at home and compete against Terry High School. Tickets are $7.00 at the gate. 

PHS Volleyball

On Thursday September 9th the Poplarville Varsity volleyball team traveled to compete against Stone High School. On Tuesday September 7th PHS Competed against Moss Point. Ending scores were 9-25, 8-25, and 21-25. On Tuesday, September 14th, the PHS team will compete against Bay High School. Please come and support the lady hornet volleyball team!
