Athletics Update: March 3-5th

Softball

Last week, our PHS softball team competed against Bay and Hancock Highschool but ultimately came up only a few points short. This week, they have three games. The first will be on Monday, March 1st at D’Iberville at 6:30pm. They will then play against Picayune here at home at 5:00pm on March 2nd. Lastly they will be competing in a tournament on Friday, March 5th at St. Patrick which will begin at 7:00pm. Goodluck to our Lady Hornets!

Baseball   

Congratulations to our PHS Hornets Baseball team for winning Friday’s game on February 26th, with a final score of 6-1. Tomorrow, March 2nd, they will have an away game against St Patrick; Junior Varsity at 5 and Varsity at 7. They will also be competing this Thursday, March 4th, at home against Picayune at 6:30. Finally, this Friday, March 5th,  they will have a home game competing against McComb at 4:30 pm. The PHS Baseball team will host a PHS Tourney at home at 1 – 5pm.

Archery

The PHS archery team hosted a tournament against Union Baptist on Feb. 26th. Congratulations to the top two shooters: Raymond Davis with the top score of 283, and Maya Clark with the 2nd highest score of 280. Our archery team will be hosting a game against Hancock at home in the middle school gymnasium on 3/2/21. The game starts at 4:00 pm. Another game will be hosted by Stone at their school on 3/4/21. Game starts at 4:30 pm. Good Luck to both teams
