MSP Percy Jackson Studies

Ela 1MSP’s 7th Grade ELA classes are delving into their study of Percy Jackson and the Olypians: The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan by using an escape room to study Greek mythology and by interacting with the book to help bring the characters to life. Another way the students are connecting with the story is by competing in a series of capture the flag games designed to mimic the game Percy plays in the novel. Students in Mr. Allred’s classes represented the Greek goddess Athena and students in Ms. Murray’s classes represented the Greek god Ares. In true Percy Jackson fashion, Cabin Athena (Mr. Allred’s team) won the overall game. Congratulations Mr. Allred’s students for your victory.
