In his retirement from education, Steve Seal will be greatly missed by Poplarville School district.
Mr. Seal spent 21 out of his 29 years with PSD in the classroom. There he taught 7th grade Science, 8th grade Computer Skills and Keyboarding, 8th grade IPS, Mythology, Astronomy, Advanced Biology, Anatomy and Physiology, Physics, and Journalism. During his time as a teacher, he was a coordinator for the science fair, online education, and advanced placement (AP) programs. He also served as the Science Department Chairman for PHS. His positive impact in the classroom earned him District Teacher of the Year and lead him to be selected for Star Teacher 4 times.
In early 2011, his time in the classroom came to an end when he accepted the position of Technology Coordinator for the district. He served in that capacity for 7 years, and during that time, he was selected Administrator of the Year. In his final year of service in the Poplarville School District, he served as Chief Operating Officer (COO).
Steve is known by his students and colleagues for encouraging and empowering those around him. His absence from our district in retirement will be a constant reminder of what a lasting impact a good educator and positive role model can have. Enjoy your retirement, you deserve it! Rock-n-Roll and best of days, Steve!
