Poplarville Upper Elementary hosted its annual “Be a Hero” blood drive on Thursday, January 17, 2019. The “Be a Hero” drive gives students the opportunity to learn about blood donations and who they help. The students then recruit “heroes” to come out to the drive and donate. During the drive, 40 units of blood/blood products were collected. The students who recruited at least one donor were rewarded with a t-shirt. The students (pictured) who recruited two or more donors were rewarded with an ice cream party! Thank you to everyone who helped make this blood drive a success!
