Mrs. Hester’s Class Feels the need for Speed

Science experimentStudents in Mrs. Hester’s 7th grade Science classes have been studying scientific inquiry.  Students were curious to know how the incline of a ramp would affect the distance a hot wheels car would travel.  Although the students hit a few “speed bumps” along the way the general consensus was that the steeper the incline the farther the car would travel.  The students enjoyed this activity and were able to successfully identify and demonstrate the key parts of scientific inquiry and have hopes of testing their theory on a larger scale.
