Miller Awarded Administrator of the Year

Konya Miller, Poplarville School District’s Assistant Superintendent, was awarded the 2017-2018 administrator of the year award at the school board meeting on Monday, March 12, 2018.

Miller is a 22 year veteran of the district and is currently the assistant superintendent of the Poplarville School District. Her career in education spans across all areas of the Poplarville School District which includes being a classroom teacher at PLE and PUE, instructional coach at PUE, working with alternative school, running summer programs at each campus, and assistant principal at PHS.
As assistant superintendent, Miller has been instrumental in establishing the district’s instructional team which supports each school’s leadership team in making instructional decisions.
Miller also graduated in 1989 from Poplarville High School.
“Konya is an integral part of our staff. I’m very proud of her and the job she is doing in our district,” stated Carl Merritt, Poplarville School District’s Superintendent. Merritt (pictured with Konya) awarded Konya the honor at the board meeting.

Miller was accompanied at the meeting by her husband Russell Miller and daughter Hannah.
