Susan Keith Named PLE Teacher of the Year 2017-18

Poplarville Lower Elementary is proud to announce Susan Keith as the 2017-18 Teacher of the Year. This is Susan’s 30th year of teaching. She has taught Kindergarten, First Grade, and Second Grade. Susan has always had a passion for teaching and enjoys the love for learning. Susan holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Elementary Education as well as an endorsement in Psychology where she is a professor for online courses at Pearl River Community College. Through the State Department of Mississippi, Susan has also conducted trainings for other teachers around the state on the Five Components of Reading. Susan’s hard work and dedication has helped hundreds of students over the years become successful adults. Susan loves Poplarville School District and accredits her success and desire for teaching to God. With God, her amazing family, and wonderful administration and co-workers, her dreams of teaching have come true. Susan always strives to make the impossible seem possible and her optimism is what makes her such an outstanding person and teacher.
