PHS STUDENT WINS AT REGION 1 SCIENCE FAIR

Tanner Miley competed at the Region 1 Science Fair held last Friday on the campus of USM. He placed first in the Earth and Environmental Division with his project on oil spill cleanup applications. He was also awarded two special judges’ awards: The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s “Pulse of the Planet” award and the U.S. Stockholm Jr. Water Prize award. Tanner will go on to compete at the State Science Fair to be held at Ole Miss in April.
