PLE Collecting Plastic Grocery Bags for Cause

Poplarville Lower Elementary is collecting plastic grocery bags.  A local mission is using them to make sleeping mats for the homeless.  The process is: they flatten out the bags, fold them over into small strips and cut them.  They tie the strips together and make a large ball like yarn.  Then they take the biggest crochet needles and crochet them together to make the mats.  They are taken to Seashore Mission in Biloxi. The bags need to be clean; do not bring bags that have sticky food or anything wet in them.   If they could flatten them out also, that would be a huge help.  So, if you have any extra plastic bags around your house, we would appreciate your donation!
