CDC Students Visit Dairy

The Poplarville Career Development Center’s Agriculture Concepts Class visited Country Girl’s Creamery Friday, May 9, 2014.  Mr. Kiahnell Smith, co-owner of Country Girl’s Creamery, spoke to the students about their dairy operation.  Mr. Smith told the students about how he and his son Mr. Butch Smith have managed their business by increasing their dairy income by adding value added products.  He explained about the nutrition of the animals, the quality of milk and processing the products of the milk, such as, cheese and yogurt.
