PHS Cheerleaders Take On UCA Cheer Camp

The Poplarville High School Cheerleaders attended UCA Cheer Camp at Mississippi State University June 14-17, 2024.  The squad learned many skills and cheers that they will use throughout the year! The team took home 1st Place in the Camp Routine and 2nd Place in the Spirit Routine. Five PHS cheerleaders were named All-American: Kyleigh Cookmeyer, Presleigh Mayfield, Brinkly Griffin, Kaylie Smith, and Addi Johnson.  Kaylie Smith, Lexie Gomillion, and Abeni Barrett were awarded the Pin-it Forward Sportsmanship Award. Aubrey Trumbach placed 2nd in the Jump Off. The squad was also awarded two gold superior ribbons and several Spirit Sticks during UCA Camp.
