PUE Teacher of the Year

Mia Gennarelli is the Teacher of the Year for Poplarville Upper Elementary. She graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2016. During her senior year at USM, she student taught 3rd grade at PUE under 2016/2017 Teacher of the Year, Missy Barham.  Mia has taught for three years at Poplarville Upper Elementary and currently teaches 4th grade Math. She is a Math PLC leader and a member of the PBIS team.  Mia truly loves each of her students and creates a positive and supportive learning environment in her classroom.  Outside of school, Mia is planning her wedding for December of 2019 and she enjoys spending time with her friends and family.
