PHS Fish Fighters T-shirts For Sale

Six times in the history of the Hurricane Bowl the Poplarville High School National Ocean Sciences Bowl (NOSB) team, the Fish Fighters, have won the competition, defeating teams from Alabama, Louisiana, Florida, and Mississippi. Each of the six times Poplarville won, students earned the right to represent the Hurricane Bowl at the national competition.

The NOSB is one of the most prestigious academic competitions in the United States. Teams of students throughout the country compete in regional events to determine which teams will compete for national honors. This year the Fish Fighters will travel to nationals in Seattle, WA. While the NOSB pays the primary expenses for the team to travel, additional expenses and the expense for members of the Fish Fighter’s B Team must be borne by the team. To this end, we would like to ask Hornets and non-Hornets alike to help the team and get the most stylish fashion item of 2014, a Fish Fighter’s T-shirt.

T-shirts are $15 for most sizes, $18 for XX Large and larger. Your generous contribution will help the team offset some of the expenses of the trip and will get you a stylish t-shirt to boot. For more information, email Mel Hall, the coach, at mhall@poplarvilleschools.org or contact him at PHS, (601) 795-8424. Order deadline is Friday April 11th.

An order form is available by clicking here.
