Making Ecosystems in 7th Grade Science

science

Students in Mrs. Jones and Mrs. Nikki’s Science class have been studying about Ecosystems.  We have learned about abiotic and biotic factors, food chains/webs, and how energy is transferred.  The student’s were able to make their own ecosystem!  We used grass seed, 2 liter bottles, soil, rocks, water, and live worms/crickets.  This was a very fun hands-on activity, and the students are enjoying themselves by getting to check on their real-life ecosystem daily!
