Athletic Update 4/12-17/21

Softball:

 Our PHS varsity softball team played last Thursday at home against FCAHS. They came home buzzing with a winning score Poplarville- 10, and FCAHS- 4. Congratulations to the PHS Varsity team. They will be playing again tonight at home against Perry Central. Games start at 5:00/6:30pm. Good luck to both our Varsity and Junior Varsity softball teams.

Basketball:

PHS boys and girls basketball tryouts will be held April 14th-15th! The time will start at 3pm. Sign up sheet is located in the front office.

Baseball: 

Last week, our PHS baseball team competed in two games against Greene County. They first played away on Tuesday, April 6th and came up short with a final score of 5-4. However, our Hornets came back strong on Thursday, April 9th and won 3-1. They have two upcoming games this week against North Pike. They will first play away on the 13th and then come back home to play again on the 16th. Good luck to our PHS baseball team!

Archery:

Congratulations to our PHS archery team as they made it all the way to state this year! They will compete Tuesday, April 13th at the Poplarville Middle School Gym. They are estimated to begin competing at 6:30pm. Good luck!
