PHS Basketball Weeks 7 through 9

The Hornet boys continued their basketball season with a win against Lumberton, 76-49 on December 14. Their next battle came on December 18th in a match against Forrest County Agricultural High School, but they lost with a score of 62-50. Their last two games of 2018 consisted of both a win and a loss. The win was in an away game against Pearl on December 27, which ended in a score of 50-48.  Their loss on December 28 came from facing off against Germantown from Madison, MS, with Poplarville ending with a score of 58 against the opposing score of 74. Although they have lost a few games, our boys put a lot of hard work and effort into representing our school and are trying their best coming out victorious. Go Hornets!

The girls varsity basketball team played five games since December 14, 2018 and emerged with a total of 2 wins. On December 14, the Lady Hornets defeated Lumberton with a final score of 49-42. December 18 saw the girls fought hard but lose against FCAHS with a score of 45-41. The team then December 28’s away game to PCHS by a score of 55-38. The girls made a comeback with a big win in the New Year against Long Beach on January 5 with a total score of 54-38. Let’s support our team as the New Year brings new victories!
