The Poplarville Hornets improved to 3-0 in region 7-4A and 8-0 overall Friday Night with a 46-0 victory over the Bobcats of Sumrall High School. The Hornets collected their 2nd straight shutout in their 2nd straight Region 7-4A road game. The Hornet Defense has 3 shutouts for the season. Poplarville continues to hold its #1 ranking in 4A and the #7 overall state ranking. PHS will celebrate Senior Night this Friday hosting region rival Purvis High School. With a win the Hornets will repeat as 7-4A Region Champions and lock up a 1st round home playoff game. Senior recognition will begin at 6:30 with Kickoff at 7:00. Pre-sale tickets will be available beginning Wednesday in the PHS office from noon til 1pm.
