Happy Homecoming for Hornets; Defeat Wildcats; Eyes on Aggies

The Poplarville Hornets were victorious in a high scoring Homecoming Game Friday Night.  The Hornets defeated the Greene County Wildcats in their 1st region 7-4A game of the season 54-36. The first half saw the Hornets and Wildcats exchange offensive blows.  PHS went into halftime leading 36-29.  However,  the Hornet Defensive stepped up in the second half, holding Greene County to 7 points.  The Hornet Offense continued to put up points and churned out over 500 yds  rushing.  The Hornets are now 6-0 on the season and 1-0 in region 7-4A.  Poplarville also maintained it’s #1 ranking in 4A and the #7 overall state ranking.  PHS travels to FCAHS Friday for another tough Region showdown with the Aggies.  See the map below for directions and come support your Hornets.
