Writing Club Raps

For two consecutive meetings, Writing Club members have worked with Mrs. Nicole Aube and each other to prepare a rapid lyric poem which encompasses their personalities.  Members discussed line length, rhyme, metaphor, and other poetic techniques to capture their unique personalities in the poem.  Before presenting yesterday, students discussed public speaking requirements and rehearsed. Finally, members presented their rapid lyrics in two manners, one prepared for a formal setting and the other free-style.  All rapid lyrics written will be published at the close of the academic year in the Writing Club annual anthology.
