An Apple-Solutely Amazing Johnny Appleseed Day in First Grade!

Our first graders had the best time celebrating the legendary Johnny Appleseed! To make sure every single student got in on the action, our first-grade teachers teamed up to set up an awesome activity rotation. Every class got the chance to cycle through each unique station, so no one missed out on the fall fun!

Here is a look at what our busy little learners accomplished during their rotations:
Art Station: Students tapped into their creative side by illustrating and painting beautiful apples.
Taste Test Station: We explored science and math by trying different apple colors and delicious apple products, graphing everyone’s ultimate favorites!
Pie Station: In one special stop, students got to be mini chefs by measuring and mixing ingredients in their own cups to make individual apple pies!
Apple Relay Race: Energy levels were high as students raced to the finish line in a high-spirited, fruit-themed relay!
Apple Bingo: Minds were sharp as students played a custom, interactive game of bingo focused on everything autumn.
Apple Volcanoes: Things got wonderfully messy in science as our classes conducted erupting apple volcano experiments!
We are so grateful to our wonderful first-grade teachers, who were just happy to see the kids smiling and learning together throughout the day. A huge thank you also goes out to our incredible parents for donating the supplies that made these hands-on activities possible.
