Football
Poplarville’s football season kicked off to a great start with a win on Friday. The jamboree took place on August 20, 2021 at home against East Central. It was a close game for our varsity team with the ending score being 2-0, but the hornets came out strong and successful. PHS’s next game is set for this Friday August 27, 2021 at Picayune MS. The game starts at 7pm and tickets are sold at the gate for seven dollars.
Volleyball
The Lady Hornets volleyball team played their first game on Tuesday August 17, 2021 against Picayune. Four rounds were played all together with our team winning the second round 25-17. The Lady Hornets will compete in a tournament Saturday, August 28 at OLA. Teams and times are still to be determined.
