FIRST YEAR, FIRST TEAM, FIRST WIN

          History is being made for Poplarville High School. On Saturday August 10, 2019, Poplarville’s first ever volleyball team began their season with two wins. The Hornets reigned over their rival, the Purvis Tornadoes, with a win of 25-17 and 25-18 in the best of 3. Their victories did not end there. In the second match, Poplarville held a 25-15 and 25-10 win over Perry Central. Both of these teams were played at Pearl River Community College in Poplarville, MS.

          The Hornet Volleyball team will take their 2-0 record to Lumberton Tuesday for JV and Varsity games beginning at 5pm. The Hornets will be on the road again Thursday travelling to Picayune for JV and Varsity beginning at 4:30.

The Hornet Football team will play a Preseason Jamboree at Wayne County High School Friday August 16th. JV game will kickoff at 6pm with the Varsity game following at 7pm. Please come out and support our Poplarville Hornet teams.
