On Thursday, April 6, PHS students competed at the State Science Fair at Mississippi State University in Starkville. These students earned the chance to compete by winning at the Region 1 Science Fair that was held in February at Southern Miss. They each competed against 20 or more projects in their respective categories. Paige Lee placed 6th in the Medicine and Health category. Zachary Couvillion placed 3rd in the category of Mathematics and Computers. He also received a special award from the Mu Alpha Theta Mathematical Society. Logan Santiago received 1st place in the category of Physics and Astronomy. Mary Ruth Pridmore, who also competed, received word that day that she had been accepted into the Mississippi School for Math and Science for next school year. Congratulations to these students for their outstanding achievements!
