Turner Receives Division 1 Scholarship to Jackson State University

On Friday, November 18th, senior Zanaisha Turner signed a National Letter of Intent for a Division 1 Scholarship to run Track at Jackson State University.  Zanaisha will be under the direction of Head Coach Ross.

Zanaisha is the daughter of Greg and Monica Moon and Montrell Turner .  She has been on the track team and played basketball for the Poplarville Hornets since the seventh grade.  Besides being an outstanding basketball player, Zanaisha has had an impressive Track record.  She was the 2015 7-4A State Champion in Triple Jump and the 2016 District, Regional and South Gold Medalist in Triple Jump and Long Jump.  She was named the 2016 MVP of the PHS Track Team, scoring over 100 points.  As of May of 2016, Zanaisha is Undefeated in Long and Triple Jump!

PHS is extremely proud to have Zanaisha representing Poplarville at Jackson State!  Go Tigers!
