Lady Hornets Clinch a Playoff Spot, Winning 3 Games This Week

Lady Hornet slowpitch softball stays in the lead with 4-0 in Region play.  With a score of 8-2, the girls once again overcame Moss Point on Monday, September 12th.  They defeated the Aggies 14-2 at home on Tuesday, September 13th.

Last night, September 15th, the Lady Hornets traveled to Forrest County and swept the Lady Aggies with a score of 11-0.  From the first inning, the Lady Hornets started a stretch of runs when Senior Samantha Shields hit a line drive, which led to a run for Rakeya Travis.  From there the game progressed, giving the Lady Hornets the victory and clinching a spot in the Playoffs.  With the positivity of the team and fans, the Hornets will succeed.  As Coach Jackson says, “Just a team full of LOVE.”

The Lady Hornets will play Purvis on Tuesday, September 20th for the District Championship.  Everyone come out and support these girls, Coach Jackson, and Coach Dedeaux.
