For the past 21 days, Mrs. Indy and Ms. Sammi’s Kindergarten class has been on the sweetest adventure—incubating 22 chicken eggs in hopes of hatching our very own baby chicks!
From each student carefully choosing their egg, to candling them, and now watching them pip and begin to hatch… every step of this process has been so exciting and full of wonder. Oh, what fun it has been!!
A huge thank you to Mrs. Maxie for generously donating the eggs and allowing us to use the incubator. She even came to our classroom to read us a story about the hatching process and gifted each student a book—such a special treat!
We can’t wait to see how many chicks hatch and, of course, start naming them!
