Erica Guidry-PUE Teacher Of The Year

Poplarville Upper Elementary is proud to announce Erica Guidry as our 2025–2026 Teacher of the Year🍎✨

Mrs. Guidry is a dedicated educator with a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education from The University of Southern Mississippi and a Master’s from William Carey University. She brings 14 years of experience to PUE, including six years in first grade at Picayune Public Schools, five years at Heritage Christian Academy, and the last three years teaching third-grade math.

Erica has been married to her husband, Michael Guidry, a teacher at Poplarville High School, for 24 years, and they share three children—Olivia (21), Chloe (18), and Grayson (15).

Outside the classroom, she loves reading, shopping, watching sports, going to the beach, and spending time with her family. Above all, Mrs. Guidry strives to ensure every student feels loved, valued, and supported.
