First Grade Celebrates Dot Day!

First grade students had a great time celebrating International Dot Day! Inspired by Peter H. Reynolds’ book The Dot, they learned how even a tiny mark can spark big ideas! Students enjoyed embracing their inner creativity and using their imagination to create their own masterpieces. Students used markers to decorate coffee filters to make their design and then sprayed them with water to see what it made.  Each “dot” shows how everyone is different in their own way and how we should celebrate those differences each day!
