PUE Teacher of the Year, Robin Daffern
The Poplarville Upper Elementary is excited to announce Ms.Robin Daffern as their Teacher of the Year.
 
Robin Daffern is a graduate of The University of Southern Mississippi with a Bachelor of Science degree, certified in Kindergarten-8th grade, with endorsements in English/Language Arts and Social Studies. Robin has spent 12 years in the classroom across various schools in Mississippi and Virginia, including Picayune Junior High, Madison Middle School, New Hope Elementary, Gravely Elementary, Middle School of Poplarville, and Poplarville Upper, due to her husband’s career as a full-time pastor. 
 
Robin took a 14 year hiatus from teaching to be a stay-at-home mom to her 4 children, Zeke (17), Shepherd (15), Lincoln (12), and Elle (10). She and her husband Josh, now a retired pastor, have been married for 22 years and have made Poplarville their home. She also has a beloved dog named Truffles. 
 
Currently, Robin is the leader of the Care Team at PUE. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys visiting Walt Disney World, decorating, party planning, spa visits, and shopping. She strives to be a positive influence in the lives of her students and coworkers and wants everyone to feel loved, special, and encouraged.
