Ashleigh Schubert is PLE’s Teacher of the Year recipient for the 2024-2025 school year.
Ashleigh has been a Kindergarten teacher at Poplarville Lower Elementary for eight years. She also served as the Kindergarten-Grade Chair for 3 years. Ashleigh holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership. As a graduate of Poplarville High School, she continued her education by attending Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, the University of Southern Mississippi, and William Carey University.
In her personal life, Ashleigh enjoys being a member of the Biloxi Pearls cheerleading team where she cheers for the Biloxi Shuckers. She is also a member of the all-star cheerleading team, Storm, at Cheer Zone Athletics.
Her zeal for teaching and love for her students demonstrates daily how much she cares about their well-being and success.
