Athletic Update 2/24/23-3/3/23

Baseball: 

On February 23rd the Hornets took on the Bogalusa Lumberjacks and won the match with a victorious score of 11-1. The February 24th game with the Bay High Tigers also resulted in a winning score of 6-2. A game will be played on February 28th against the Pope John Paul II Jaguars at the Hive at 6:30 p.m. Another game will be played on March 3rd with the Hornets going head-to-head with the Wayne County War Eagles, again taking place at the Hive at 6:30. The Hornets will also play the Perry Central Bulldogs at the Hive at 3:30 p.m. on March 4th. Come out to cheer on your Hornets! 

Softball:

Last week Tuesday February 21, 2023 the Lady Hornets played the Picayune Maroon Tide with a winning score of 18-11. Thursday February 23, 2023 they went up against the Bay High Tigers with another victory with a score of 9-8. This week Tuesday February 28, 2023 the Lady Hornets will play against the Harrison Central Red Rebels at the Hive starting at 6:30 PM. Thursday March 2, 2023 the Hornets will go up against the Stone Tomcats at the Nest starting at 6:30 PM. Friday March 3, 2023 the Lady Hornets will travel to play against the Hancock Hawks starting at 6:30 PM. Come and support the Lady Hornets!

Tennis:

This week the PHS tennis team will have a match Tuesday February 28, 2023 against Heritage Christian at the Nest starting at 4:00 PM. Thursday March 2, 2023 the Hornets will play against the Picayune Maroon Tide at the Hive starting at 4:00 PM. Come and support the PHS tennis team! 

Archery:

 On Thursday, March 2, 2023 the archery team will travel to an away game against Picayune at 5:00 p.m.
