Buyers are invited to submit bids on the attached list of items for sale by the Poplarville School District Board of Trustees.

Bids will be received until 1:00p.m. on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 in the Office of the Superintendent of Education; 302 South Julia St., Poplarville, Mississippi 39470 at which time bids will be reviewed.

The Board reserves the right to accept the highest and best bid that meets specifications. The Board reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids and to waive any informalities and irregularities. The Board also reserves the right to void any awarded contract with purchasers that fail to meet specifications within a reasonable time. In the event contracts are voided, the next highest bid that meets specifications may be awarded the bid.

Bid prices are to be net.

SALE AND REMOVAL OF EXCESS FIELD DIRT BID FORM

 Approximately 3,000 cubic yards   $
 Must remove all marked excess field dirt from the existing grounds.

Minimum bid of $5.00 per Cubic Yard for approximately 3,000 cubic yards more or less of field dirt is required.

Supply all items for removing and transportation of field dirt. 

Buyer responsible for any and all costs, licenses, permits, equipment, transportation, labor or other expenses associated with purchasing excess field dirt. 

No guarantees on the purchase of the excess field dirt.

Buyer is responsible for complete removal and transportation of field dirt from the site at their own risk and their own cost.

Field dirt is being sold as is, where is, with no warranty expressed or implied. 

Buyer will be held responsible for any damages to Poplarville School District property, sidewalks, utilities, etc.

TERMS, CONDITIONS, AND INSTRUCTIONS

1. All bids shall be firm.

2. Failure to examine any specifications and instructions will be at the bidder’s risk.

3. Bids must be signed, or they will not be considered. Bids should be marked “Bid on Sale and Removal of Excess Field Dirt” on the exterior of the sealed envelope including the date and time of bid opening written on the lower left-hand corner.Sale and Removal of Excess Dirt Bid Form 1

4. No discussion will be entered into with any bidder as to the quality or provisions of the specifications. The bids will be considered to be in the evaluation process and will not be available for review by bidders.

5. Bidders must upon request of Poplarville School District furnish satisfactory evidence of their ability to furnish products or services in accordance with the terms and conditions of these specifications. Poplarville School District reserves the right to make the final determination as to the bidder’s ability.

6. Bid prices are to be net.

7. All potential bidders are encouraged to ascertain all existing conditions relative to their work before preparing their bids.

8. Excess field dirt may be removed between the dates of July 12, 2022, and July 25, 2022, as scheduled with the Director of Field Operations.
