Athletic Update Oct. 5-10

Football

Our Poplarville Hornets scored a major victory for their Homecoming game against the Forrest county Aggies on the 2nd of October with a whopping end result of 69-8. Congratulations to our team and to Audrey Bolin who was awarded the Homecoming Queen of 2020 prior to the start of the game.

The JV team will play at St. Stanislaus Monday night at 6 p.m.  Tickets will be sold at the gate.  Masks are required at all MHSAA athletic events.

The varsity football team will play at home against Stone this Friday night. Each participant will be allowed to purchase 2 tickets Monday and Tuesday during break or lunch.  Tickets will be available to the general public from 11 am-1 pm, Wednesday and Thursday. Tickets are 6 dollars each.  Tickets will also be sold at the gate on Friday night. Masks are required at all MHSAA athletic events.

Volleyball

On September 29th, the Poplarville Hornets defeated the Forrest County Aggies with an ending score of 3-1. The Hornet Volleyball Team plays Stone County at home on Tuesday night. They will also play against Purvis at home on Thursday night. The JV plays at 5 p.m and the varsity plays at 6 p.m. Tickets will be sold at the gate.  Masks are required at all MHSAA athletic events.
