2019 Christmas Showcase

Celebrating the Season

The PHS music department celebrated the beginning of the Christmas season by hosting their Christmas Showcase Tuesday, Dec. 3. The Showcase was held at the Brownstone Center PRCC with 430 attending from the community. The Green Machine began the showcase by marching in and performing around the spectators.

All grade levels in Choir came together to perform Amen, Go Tell It with solos by Zoe Fritz, Elizabeth Nunez, and Brinkly Griffin. Mary Did You Know featured solos from Nylorah Beverly and Hunter Jones. Their last song was Holiday Road of Carols which was a mixture of classic Christmas songs.

The MSP bands were lead by middle school band director Daniel Broadus. The 6th grade band performed Good King Wenceslas, Jolly Old Saint Nicholas, and Jingle Bells. The 7&8th grade band performed Go Tell It On the Mountain, Up On the Housetop, Silver Bells and Festive Season.

The Green Machine PHS Band ended the showcase playing Season’s Greetings, Winter Fantasy, Christmas Magic, and Bells of Joy. Band directer Josh Tidwell lead the band but stepped aside for D. J. Revero to conduct Winter Fantasy providing him with the chance to play trumpet with his band.

On behalf of the music department we would like thank all who attended and participated in this event to make it such as success and hope everyone has a blessed holiday season.
