V0LLEYBALL NEWS

The Poplarville Hornet Volleyball Team won it’s only match of the week last Tuesday. The Hornets defeated Forrest County AHS 3-0 at home to improve to 9-4 overall and 3-2 in Region 7-4A. With 2 weeks left, the Hornets are in the hunt for a playoff spot and have a big week ahead with Region 7-4A road games at Stone county Tuesday and at Purvis Thursday. Both games include JV and Varsity matches with JV at 5pm and Varsity at 6pm.

 

FOOTBALL NEWS

The Hornet Football team got back in the win column Saturday with  a 44-0 win at FCAHS. With the win, the Hornets move to 2-4 on the season but more important are now 1-0 in Region 7-4A. The Hornets will travel to Stone County Friday for another crucial 7-4A matchup with the Tomcats. The game will be played at AL May Memorial Stadium on the campus of MGCCC with kickoff at 7pm.
