The Poplarville Hornet Volleyball Team won it’s only match of the week last Thursday. The Hornets defeated North Forrest  3-1 on the road to improve to 6-2 overall. The Volleyball Hornets have a busy week with a Region 7-4A road game at FCAHS Monday, a rival home game Tuesday against Picayune, and another Region 7-4A road game against Greene County Thursday. All dates include JV and Varsity matches with JV at 5pm and Varsity at 6pm.

The Hornet Football team lost a tough game Friday in their first ever meeting with Mandeville High from Louisiana.  The Hornets stayed close in the 1st half but the second half saw too many mistakes and a 65-35 defeat at the hands of the visiting Skippers. The defeat didn’t stop the fans from cheering on their home team and showing just how much Poplarville spirit our community has.
