2019 Summer Cheer Camp

The Poplarville High School cheer team recently attended camp in Gulf Shores, Alabama. They were among several other Varsity squads competing on the last day of camp for various awards. PHS cheerleaders were blessed to take home 1st place for the cheer, 1st place for the rally routine, 1st place for sideline, and overall camp champions. They were also awarded the spirit stick, an invitation to the Citrus Bowl (Orlando) for New Years Day, and the PHS Cheer Team received the Leadership award. This award was voted on by all of the other teams that attended camp as the team you would most want to be apart of.

Along with the various team achievements, individuals were also recognized:

Macey Head – All American cheerleader (London Trip), Varsity Spirit Spectacular (Disney Trip) and pin-it forward recipient

Harper Pearson- All American cheerleader (London Trip), Varsity Spirit Spectacular (Disney Trip), pin-it forward recipient, and an invitation to join UCA Staff

Ashanti Bolton-All American cheerleader (London Trip)

Jacenta Davis- All American cheerleader (London Trip)

Ravyn Garrett- All American cheerleader (London Trip)

Madysen Sheppard- All American cheerleader (London Trip)

Mackenzie Owen- pin-it-forward recipient

Madison Rester- Camp Jump Champion
