DECA District Competition

On January 17, six members of Poplarville’s DECA organization traveled to compete in District Competition. David Carroll Hilliard, Kevin Hart, Sarah Coleman, Sarah Recatto, Morgan Prince, and Jessica Smith all represented the Hornets in the district competition and emerged victoriously with a number of medals.

Morgan Prince – 1st Place in Principles of Marketing
Jessica Smith –  1st Place in Human Resource Management
Sarah Coleman and Sarah Recatto – 2nd Place in Hotel/Lodging Management
David Carroll-Hilliard and Kevin Hart – 2nd place in Sports and Entertainment Marketing

These students will advance to State DECA Competition in February.
