PLE Teacher of the Year

Nicole McCardle is a native of Poplarville and a graduate of the Poplarville School District. She obtained an undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from William Carey University in 2006.  She obtained a Master’s of Education in Educational Leadership from William Carey University in May of 2018.

Nicole is a thirteen-year veteran of the district where she is an energetic second-grade teacher who provides her students with exciting approaches to learning math. She previously taught fourth grade for eight years and third grade for two years at Poplarville Upper Elementary. Nicole currently serves as 2nd Grade Chair and Math team leader at Poplarville Lower Elementary, as well as many other leadership roles on campus.

As an educator, she believes each student has a unique way of learning and has unique gifts to offer in the classroom. Nicole is a leader in and out of the classroom; mentoring veteran and new teachers with enthusiasm and a lot of encouragement. She looks forward to serving many more years in the Poplarville School District.
